Job Title: Graphics Designer – Visual Communication, Interaction & UX Design

Location: Betic-IIT Bombay

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a multidisciplinary graphics designer with a strong foundation in visual communication and a keen interest in interaction and UX design. The ideal candidate should bring a holistic understanding of design thinking, translating brand identity and user needs into meaningful visual and interactive experiences. A background or interest in product and industrial design is beneficial, as this role will occasionally collaborate on physical and digital product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visual Communication & Graphic Design: Develop visually compelling graphics, icons, and illustrations for web, mobile, and print.
  • Ensure Consistent Visual Identity: Adhere to brand guidelines across all touchpoints.
  • Create Marketing Materials: Develop marketing collateral, presentations, and product packaging visuals.
  • Interaction & UX Design:
    • Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces for digital products.
    • Develop wireframes, user flows, mock-ups, and prototypes that reflect user needs.
    • Collaborate with UX researchers and developers to refine designs based on user feedback.
  • Cross-Functional & Industrial Design Support:
    • Contribute to early-stage product ideation and concept visualization.
    • Create renderings or mock-ups for physical products or UI elements integrated into hardware.
    • Support product designers with graphic inputs for form factors, packaging, and displays.

    Requirements:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, or related field.
    • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a multidisciplinary design role.
    • Proficiency: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, and prototyping tools.
    • Familiarity: Familiarity with basic principles of UX design and user-centered processes.
    • Bonus: Experience with 3D design tools (e.g., Blender, Rhino, SolidWorks) or interest in industrial design.

    Key Skills:

    • Visual Storytelling: Strong visual storytelling and layout skills.
    • Design Systems: Understanding of design systems and responsive design.
    • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to translate abstract ideas into tangible visual assets.
