Job Description : The UX/UI Design Leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual and interactive design of our digital platforms. You will build and lead a talented team of UX and UI designers to create user-centered and high-performing digital experiences that enhance user engagement, satisfaction, and conversion rates. You are a key contributor for the digital user experience and growth of online business for India and oversee various phases of the team’s design process : research, conception, development, and execution while ensuring the team is in the best conditions to meet expectations and objectives. Responsibility : – Understand the company’s design vision, how your team fits into it, and translate it into relevant objectives. – Communicate as much as possible about the “why” rather than the “what. ” – Develop and execute the overall design strategy for our website and mobile App, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs – Co-create a roadmap with the product team and ensure its adoption. – Work closely with product leaders and tech to break silos and deliver meaningful new features or products. – Define and monitor relevant KPIs, capable of monitoring them over time to ensure the validity of the solutions proposed by your team. – Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools to drive innovation and improve the digital user experience. Skills Related to Responsibility 1 : – Deploy the OKRs methodology. – Establish a design vision. – Strategic thinking – Understanding of Product Management and IT. – Functional Management – Market Research and benchmarking Responsibility 2 : – Ensure that each feature your team works on is delivered on time with the highest level of quality possible. – Translate the product roadmap into a design roadmap for your team. – Co-create new agile operational models and implement them, helping to facilitate delivery quality during design rituals (design review, design retro, etc. ). – Improve overall design quality by defining standards, processes, and templates with other managers and principals, and training your team to learn them. Skills Related to Responsibility 2 : – Backlog management and prioritization. – Roadmap definition. – Co-defining product/user experience design. – Autonomy Responsibility 3 : – Recruit, lead, and inspire a team of UX and UI designers. – Mentor your team members and create a pleasant and conducive learning environment. – Identify and onboard external partner agencies as per the need of the project and the team. – Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. – Enable your team members to evolve and help create a strong internal and external network. – Promote the design culture within and outside the company : write blog articles, organize and speak at conferences, and represent Decathlon at major events. – Implement personalized career development plans for each member and support them in their evolution Skills Related to Responsibility 3 : – Product design framework. – Rituals and organization. – Human Management – Leadership – Project Building – Vendor Onboarding Management Responsibility 4 : – Assist in the implementation of the design system and other design standards within your scope. – Advocate for a user-centric design approach, conducting user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design improvements. – Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and facilitate team and stakeholder discussions. – Synchronize with other product designer managers to identify cross-team improvements and issues. – Develop internal relationships with various stakeholders in different business units. – Participate in community expertise activities.
