Job Description
1. Database Design & Modelling
a. for Cloud enabled Enterprise requirements for Relational (Postgresql preferred) and other Data Management System.
2. Data Engineering that includes
a. Extracting and aggregating data from large data sets using SQL/Hive or Spark or similar tools
b. Analyzing large data sets using programming languages such as Python, R, SQL and/or Spark or other tools
c. Generating and visualizing data-based insights in software such as Tableau or Power BI
d. Experience in building inference model APIs and scaling APIs preferred
e. Experience with ETL, ELT and Cloud based Data warehousing (such as AWS)
3. Analyze and optimize: Identify and resolve issues that impact the database’s performance and security that includes
a. Improve query response: Make queries faster by optimizing indexing and reducing network traffic
b. Scripts for automation
c. Reconfigure OS: Adjust the operating system and other system functionalities to support the database’s functions
d. Deploy clusters: Use clusters to improve the database’s performance
e. Create strategies: Develop strategies, tools, and processes to improve data retrieval performance and security
f. Monitor and report: Use tools to monitor and report on performance metrics
