Job Title : AEM Backend Developer Location : Remote Job Type : Contract Experience Level : 5 years Project : HDFC Job Description : We are seeking a skilled AEM Backend Developer with strong Java skills to work on the HDFC Project. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) backend development, including OSGi, Java Content Repository (JCR), Apache Sling, and Adaptive Forms. Roles & Responsibilities : – Develop, customize, and maintain AEM backend components and services. – Design and implement Servlets, OSGi components, and workflows. – Work with Java Content Repository (JCR) and Apache Sling to manage content storage and retrieval. – Develop and integrate web services (SOAP/REST) for data exchange. – Build and optimize Adaptive Forms, ensuring performance and user experience improvements. – Create and manage Form Data Models (FDM) for backend integration. – Optimize Adaptive Forms using Lazy Loading and reusable Fragments. – Conduct code reviews, unit testing (JUnit), and ensure code quality. – Utilize Maven for build management and adhere to best development practices. Skills & Qualifications : Mandatory Skills : – Strong Java programming skills with experience in Servlet development. – Expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) backend development. – Experience with OSGi/Felix frameworks for modular development. – Strong knowledge of Java Content Repository (JCR)/CRX. – Proficiency in Apache Sling for content rendering and workflow management. – Experience with web services creation and consumption (REST/SOAP). – Hands-on experience with Maven for project build and dependency management. – Unit testing and code quality enforcement using JUnit. Adaptive Forms Experience (MUST HAVE) : – Development of Adaptive Forms in AEM. – Expertise in Form Data Model (FDM) development and backend integration. – Performance tuning of Adaptive Forms using Lazy Loading. – Logical structuring and reusability of form artifacts using Fragments. Good to Have : – Experience with AEM Sites and AEM Assets. – Understanding of CI/CD pipelines in AEM development. – Knowledge of AEM security best practices. (ref:hirist.tech)
