Build Scalable & Secure Backend Systems for a Mental Health Tech Startup – Opening only for Highly Experience professionals in the range of 5 years. – Location : Bangalore, India. WFH for first 3 to 4 months. – Target Markets : US & Europe Role Overview : As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining server-side logic, APIs, and databases. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality backend solutions that support our AI-driven products. Key Responsibilities : – API Development : Design and build RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js, Python, or Java. – Database Management : Design, optimize, and manage SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL. – System Architecture : Develop scalable and maintainable backend systems following best practices. – Security Implementation : Implement security best practices including JWT, OAuth, and data encryption. – CI/CD Integration : Collaborate with DevOps engineers to set up CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment. – Performance Optimization : Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize backend systems for high availability. – Documentation : Write clear and comprehensive API documentation. – Collaboration : Work closely with frontend developers and product teams to ensure smooth integration of backend functionalities. – Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and suggest improvements to existing systems. Qualifications & Requirements : – Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. – Experience : Minimum 5 years in a Backend Developer role, with experience in startup or fast-paced environments preferred. Technical Skills : – Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Java. – Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL. – Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. – Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. – Familiarity with Ansible or Terraform. – Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger. Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving ability, proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
