Role Overview:

As a Business Development Executive , you will be the first point of contact between the author and our publishing house. Your main responsibility is to connect with potential leads (authors). You will be responsible for guiding them through the entire publishing journey — from the first call to contract signing and content submission.

This is a client-facing, communication-heavy, and sales-driven role, perfect for someone who loves working with people, understands storytelling, and is excited about the publishing world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Call and follow up with potential leads interested in publishing their books.
  • Understand the author’s requirements and clearly explain our publishing plans and services.
  • Build rapport and trust with authors by being professional, knowledgeable, and supportive.
  • Manage the entire author onboarding process — from initial consultation to agreement signing.
  • Maintained proper records of communication, agreements, and client details.
  • Act as the bridge between the author and internal teams (editing, design, production).
  • Consistently achieved monthly targets related to conversions, agreements, and payments.
