Position Overview:
We are scouting for an experienced and passionate Business Development Manager – Weddings to join the client’s Gurgaon office and lead the charge in expanding their weddings and social celebrations portfolio. This role will involve identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships (especially with HNIs/UHNIs), crafting compelling proposals, and overseeing the pre-sales process for destination weddings and luxury events.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the weddings & celebrations events space, excellent client-facing skills, and a refined aesthetic sensibility that aligns with luxury event experiences.

You will work closely with in-house creative, contracting, and operations teams to deliver highly personalized solutions to discerning clients across India and international destinations.

Job Description

Direct Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new leads through personal networks, vendor referrals, and industry engagement
  • Engage with HNI clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budgets
  • Prepare compelling, customized wedding/event proposals in collaboration with the internal team
  • Lead client presentations and pitch meetings with a strong storytelling approach
  • Coordinate with internal product and contracting teams to source and negotiate hotel and venue deals
  • Initiate and lead creative brainstorming sessions to conceptualize unique themes and experiences

Indirect Responsibilities

  • Be actively involved in the planning and execution process from project sign-off to final delivery
  • Support project operations teams as a senior point of contact to ensure delivery excellence
  • Build long-term client relationships through excellent post-event engagement and servicing

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate from any discipline;
    Event Management or Hospitality qualification preferred
  • 12–15 years in business development or sales roles within the weddings, luxury events, or hospitality space.
  • Proven track record of working with premium clientele and closing high-value deals.
  • Exposure to destination weddings (domestic & international) and deep understanding of the market

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of top wedding destinations and venues (India & overseas)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Client-centric mindset with high EQ and aesthetic sensibility
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly with hotel chains, luxury resorts, and vendors
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and manage multiple high-stakes client interactions simultaneously
  • Comfortable networking with HNIs, luxury planners, and global partners
  • Analytical thinking to evaluate sales outcomes and refine strategies accordingly
