Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Business Development Manager with proven experience in the industrial automation industry to spearhead our growth in the Indian market. As an early team member at FLT India, you will have the unique opportunity to build customer relationships, drive market entry strategies, and directly contribute to our success in India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute business development strategies to establish FLT India in the Indian market.
  • Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities across industries requiring automation solutions.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients, system integrators, OEMs, and strategic partners.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies aligned with the parent company's global vision and customized for India’s market dynamics.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape in India.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and project teams based in India and Germany to deliver customized solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, technical presentations, and negotiate contracts with prospective clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking platforms to enhance brand visibility.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, market analysis, and strategic feedback to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum 15 years of proven experience in business development within the industrial automation sector is mandatory.
  • Deep understanding of automation technologies, industrial processes, and solution-based B2B sales.
  • Strong network within the automation, robotics, manufacturing, or process industries in India.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and self-driven approach.
  • Fluent in English;
    proficiency in local languages (such as Hindi, Marathi) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel across India as required.
