Role Overview
As a Sales Manager or TL, you will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end sales lifecycle, from initiating conversations with prospects to closing deals. While 80% of your calls and leads will be provided by an experienced SDR (Sales Development Representative) team, you will also be responsible for personally handling outbound prospecting for the remaining 20% of your pipeline. This role requires building strong relationships with prospects, conducting product/service demos, and nurturing opportunities toward successful closures. A consultative selling approach, in-depth understanding of the technology landscape, and ability to tailor solutions to meet client needs are critical for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting (20%)
- Proactively identify and reach out to new prospects through outbound activities, including cold outreach, networking, and research.
- Conduct initial discovery calls with prospects to understand their needs and challenges.
- Inbound & SDR-Supported Leads (80%)
- Engage with leads provided by the SDR team, ensuring timely follow-ups and a personalized approach to move them through the sales funnel.
- Conduct discovery calls and product/service demonstrations to showcase the value of our technology intelligence solutions.
- Product/Service Demonstrations
- Clearly articulate how our offerings address specific client pain points and align with their business goals.
- Tailor presentations to address the unique needs of each client, ensuring alignment with their business objectives.
- Sales Lifecycle Management
- Own the sales process from discovery to closure, including follow-ups, nurturing leads, and chasing prospects at the right time to move opportunities forward.
- Develop and execute tailored sales strategies for each client to ensure a consultative and value-driven approach.
- Relationship Building & Nurturing
- Build meaningful, long-term relationships with prospects and clients through personalized communication.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their goals, challenges, and opportunities.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate closely with the SDR team, marketing, and other internal stakeholders to align sales efforts with overall company objectives.
- Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and key metrics to ensure transparency and alignment with company targets.
- Market & Product Expertise
- Stay updated on the technology intelligence landscape to provide insights and value during client conversations.
- Continuously learn about our products and services to enhance your ability to position them effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a B2B technology, SaaS, or services environment.
- Strong understanding of North American and European markets.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting to closure.
- Comfortable with CRM tools and sales software for pipeline management and reporting.
- A consultative selling approach and capacity to understand and solve client challenges with tailored solutions.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
