Job Description

Role purpose:

To support and maintain the growing portfolio of BI data visualisation, interactive dashboards, data discovery, data-driven story-telling and innovative analytics through Group BI centre of excellence in for diverse Group Functions and local markets.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

  • Provide first line data visualisation Development, support: troubleshoot and test visualisation applications
  • Will be required to Design, Implement, test and Support Reports and Dashboards within the agreed SLA.
  • Liaise with internal customers to instigate, resolve, and effectively triage issues.
  • Manage the product release and deployment of applications
  • Implement fixes and enhancements to production applications
  • Support interactive visualisations end to end from data ingestion, ETL and front end functionality
  • Follow agile approach to troubleshooting of a growing library of interactive data visualisations
  • Inform the solution architects and project managers of any issues that may affect any other areas
  • Identify opportunities and drive process changes / increased automation /improvement in visualisations
  • Follow Processes. Proactive Documentation, innovative, provide input and support to manager for improving productivity and efficiency.
  • Have strong communication skill and have proactive communication skills to address Production issues.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  • Strong experience in designing reports and dashboards using BI Tools Qlik and Qliksense.
  • Strong knowledge on Data Modelling.
  • Preference: experience in Qlik MPM
  • Strong command in SQL Scripting & RDBMS Environments (Like Oracle / Teradata).
  • Knowledge of relational data warehouse design
  • Ability to define and execute rigorous testing and troubleshooting
  • Experience of continuous integration and automated testing architectures
  • Comfortable in working with large, multi-dimensional data sets (data manipulation and analysis)
  • Experience working with IT server architectures and production deployments
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skill
  • Energetic, nimble, proactive, keen to learn and progress

  • Excellent Communication (Verbal & written)
  • Detail conscious, Problem solver & Innovative thinker

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Good understanding of BI and IT
  • Good Hands-on experience in QlikView
  • Intermediate or better SQL skills
  • Knowledge of data manipulation through ETL and modelling tools and coding language
  • Web development skills
