Job Title : Business Intelligence Specialist Experience : 3-7 Years Job Type : : – Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable business intelligence solutions, including interactive dashboards, insightful reports, and effective data visualizations using industry-leading BI tools. – Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various data sources (databases, APIs, flat files, etc.) into our data warehouse or data marts. – Design and implement efficient data warehouse and data mart structures, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability. – Analyze complex datasets to identify key trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to business stakeholders. – Collaborate closely with business users across different departments to understand their reporting and analytical requirements and translate them into technical specifications. – Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data within the BI systems through data quality checks and validation processes. – Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI platforms, data pipelines, and report performance. – Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for BI solutions, including data models, ETL workflows, and report specifications. – Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the field of Business Intelligence and data analytics, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our BI capabilities. – Participate in the planning and execution of BI projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and quality standards. – Contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance policies and Skills : – BI Tools : Extensive hands-on experience (3 years) with at least one major Business Intelligence platform such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, or similar. Proficiency in developing interactive dashboards, parameterized reports, and data visualizations. – ETL Tools and Processes : Solid understanding of ETL concepts and proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using dedicated ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory) or through scripting languages and SQL. – Data Warehousing : Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, concepts, and architectures (e.g., Kimball, Inmon). Experience with designing and implementing dimensional models, star schemas, and snowflake schemas. – SQL : Excellent proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) for data querying, manipulation, and analysis across various database systems. Ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and functions. – Database Knowledge : Solid understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake or Amazon Redshift. Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus. – Data Modeling : Experience with data modeling techniques and tools to create logical and physical data models that support BI requirements. – Scripting Languages (Beneficial) : Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy) or R for data manipulation, automation, and statistical analysis is a : – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. – Minimum of 3 years of professional experience working as a Business Intelligence Specialist, Data Analyst with a strong BI focus, or in a similar role. – Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and translate them into actionable business insights. – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. – Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. – A strong passion for data and a drive to continuously learn and improve.
