About the Role
As a Program Category Manager – Building Materials, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product portfolio, driving revenue growth, and strengthening supplier partnerships. This role is tailor-made for a dynamic leader who can navigate market trends, optimize category performance, and lead end-to-end category development.
Key Responsibilities
– Category Strategy & Development – Plan and execute product assortment, pricing strategies, and expansion roadmaps
– New Product Innovation – Lead the development and launch of new product categories while enhancing existing offerings
– Vendor & Supplier Management – Negotiate and finalize agreements with top suppliers, majorly brands, to ensure sustainable growth
– Sales & P&L Ownership – Take full ownership of topline, bottom line (P&L), and inventory mix to optimize profitability
– Seller Onboarding & Marketplace Growth – Develop strategies to increase supplier conversion rates and marketplace participation
– Negotiation & Competitive Positioning – Secure the best deals, drive sales programs, and execute promotional initiatives to strengthen market presence
– Stock & Inventory Planning – Maintain optimal stock levels with accurate buying plans and sales forecasting.

Requirements
– A minimum of 1 – 3 years of category or operation program management experience
– Master’s degree from IIT, IIM or NIT
– Excellent communication with good data management skills
– Proficient in making reports
