Job Description
The Design Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating the design development process for commercial interior fit-out projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, project timelines, and quality standards. The role involves managing internal and external design teams, reviewing technical drawings, and providing design direction from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage the design process for multiple commercial interior fit-out projects from inception to execution.
– Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
– Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and material selections ensuring adherence to project standards and timelines.
– Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of design intent on-site.
– Provide technical support and design direction throughout the project lifecycle.
– Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and sustainability guidelines.
– Manage change requests and modifications in the design, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
– Lead client presentations and design reviews, articulating design concepts effectively.
– Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, materials, and technologies relevant to commercial interiors.
Key Skills & Competencies:
– Strong conceptual design ability with practical knowledge of commercial fit-out standards.
– Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, and MS Office.
– Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
– Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
– Knowledge of MEP integration in interior designs is an added advantage.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
