Location: Can be based anywhere in India, but preference is given to candidates based in Bangalore

Are you passionate about social justice , visual storytelling , and using your creative skills to make a real difference? Join our team as a Graphic Design Intern and contribute to high-impact campaigns that tackle some of today’s most urgent issues.
As part of this internship, you’ll work on projects addressing street harassment through our collaboration with INAC (inacindia.org) —an initiative dedicated to making public spaces safer and more inclusive. You’ll also contribute to campaigns around sustainability and climate action in partnership with CGBMT (cgbmt.org) , where design plays a crucial role in raising awareness and mobilizing communities for environmental justice.
From advocacy and education campaigns to public awareness visuals and social media storytelling, your designs will help shape conversations, shift narratives, and empower change across digital and community spaces.
About It’s Not A Compliment India
It’s Not A Compliment (INAC) India is a vertical of CGBMT. Our movement is dedicated to empowering allies in tackling street harassment and creating safer, more inclusive public spaces across Bangalore and India. We provide knowledge, generate evidence, and advocate for an intersectional feminist approach to combating street harassment. Through advocacy, storytelling, campaigns, training programs, and the development of community toolkits, we aim to shift societal attitudes and bring about lasting, systemic change in how street harassment is understood and addressed.
About CGBMT
The Centre for Green Building Materials and Technology (CGBMT) is an NGO founded in 2004 and committed to promoting sustainable living and climate action through accessible, community-rooted solutions. Our work spans eco-advocacy, education, and hands-on implementation of sustainable practices. From helping people understand and adopt concepts like rainwater harvesting , eco-sanitation , and natural building techniques , to conducting workshops and outreach programs, CGBMT empowers individuals and communities to live in greater harmony with the environment. Our mission is centered on ecological justice, simplicity, and building a future grounded in environmental responsibility.
What You’ll Do:
Design graphics for awareness campaigns and advocacy initiatives
Create visual content for social media , including infographics, quotes, and carousels.
Develop branded assets for research surveys and reports.
Support event promotion through posters, digital flyers, and web assets.
Collaborate with communications, outreach, and research teams.

What We’re Looking For:
Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
A portfolio showcasing your visual style and ability to communicate clearly through design.
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and social change is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and openness to feedback.
Experience with motion graphics or video editing (a plus, not required)

Duration: 3 months

Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in a university program in graphic design or a related field.
Documentation: If hired, a signed letter from your university acknowledging the internship is required before joining.
