Group Director Product Design

Job Description

Location: Bangalore

JOB PURPOSE :

As a Group Director – Product Design, you will define and drive the Product Design vision for some of DP World’s core product platforms. In this role, you’ll guide a team of talented product designers, work closely with cross-functional teams & leadership, shape the design vision, and drive innovation across our product ecosystem. Your primary role will be to ensure our user experience is intuitive, scalable, delightful, and aligned with business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

15+ years of Product Design experience, with a strong focus on enterprise software solutions.
Proven experience (10+ years) leading and managing a team of experienced product designers, with the ability to drive design innovation and strategic impact.
Deep understanding of design thinking, user-centered design principles, design systems, and scalable design systems.
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical and leadership skills, including the ability to communicate interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple regions globally and drive alignment.
Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced environment, working on ambiguous and challenging projects.
Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business needs, and customer expectations.
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly or remotely with PMs, fellow designers and developers for implementation of customer experiences.
Experience demonstrating quantitative and/or qualitative data to inspire design concepts, prioritize features, validate new product designs and communicate decisions to stakeholders.
Experience in proactive planning well in advance, as well as participating in complex roadmap planning.
Experience with best practices for information architecture and design, as well as experience with usability principles and techniques
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
Strong working knowledge and advanced understanding in Figma is a MUST.
Proficiency in a variety of other design tools (eg. Sketch, InVision, Framer JS, Flinto, Illustrator, Adobe Suite)
A strong design portfolio showcasing previous projects/achievements.
