Job Description

Job Summary
As a Design Engineer – NPD, you will be responsible for the design, development, analysis, and validation of mechanical and pneumatic components and systems. This includes both 2D and 3D modelling, preparing parts lists, and creating technical documentation. Your role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams including suppliers, production, purchase, and quality, to ensure successful development and introduction of new products.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and development of mechanical and pneumatic components (2D/3D modelling, parts lists, and data sheets)
Conducting design calculations and simulations
Managing new product development (NPD) processes and special purpose machine (SPM) projects
Performing technical feasibility studies for assembly and testing
Supporting production with changes, cost optimizations, and quality improvement
Supporting the introduction of serial products
Optimizing and converting existing designs to English 3D drawings
Participating in product development committees
Creating and tracking project time schedules and cost plans
Handling change processes and engineering change documentation
Coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders (production, quality, purchase) for sampling, concessions, and complaint resolutions
Adhering to company policies and standards of quality and accuracy
Promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and flexibility in design and development processes

Requirements:

4 to 6 years of experience in the following:
Design & development of components
New product development (NPD)
Special purpose machine (SPM) design
Machine, valve, and PUPM design
Hands-on experience with mechanical calculations and simulations
Proficiency in 3D CAD software: Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent
Good understanding of

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to interact with suppliers and cross-functional teams
Strong time management, planning, and problem-solving skills
Creativity and initiative in improving processes, systems, or products
Bachelor’s degree (BE) in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) with relevant experience
