Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented

Product Designer

with a strong background in plastics, surface modeling, and mechanical design. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in simulation, design for manufacturability, and design for assembly, playing a key role in bringing high-quality, innovative products to market.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of plastic components and assemblies for consumer or industrial products.
Perform advanced

surface modeling

and create precise 3D models using

SolidWorks

or

Fusion 360 .
Conduct

finite element analysis (FEA)

and interpret simulation results to optimize design performance.
Apply

mechanical engineering principles

to ensure product durability, functionality, and compliance with design requirements.
Integrate

Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

and

Design for Assembly (DFA)

principles throughout the product development cycle.
Execute

Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)

and ensure adherence to relevant

design standards .
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality to deliver optimized product solutions.
Develop detailed technical drawings, documentation, and BOMs for prototyping and production.
Stay current on materials, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a

Product Designer

or

Mechanical Design Engineer .
Excellent expertise in

plastics design

and

surface modeling .
Strong proficiency with

SolidWorks

and/or

Fusion 360 .
Hands-on experience in

finite element analysis (FEA)

and product simulation.
Deep understanding of

DFM, DFA , and

DFMEA

methodologies.
Strong knowledge of

mechanics

and material properties.
Familiarity with relevant

design standards

and industry guidelines.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
