About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior PHP Developer for a leading global business focused on delivering aviation fuel management solutions. You’ll be part of a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment, helping to build scalable, reliable test automation systems that play a critical role in complex international operations.

This is a permanent, full-time, remote role, ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams—including developers, designers, testers, product owners, and project managers—and is passionate about delivering high-quality backend solutions that align with customer needs and team objectives

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Product Development & Delivery – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, estimate effort, design and deliver scalable product features with clear specifications, ensure timely and high-quality deployment, monitor performance post-launch, and provide rapid issue resolution as part of the on-call support rota.
  • Quality, Security & Continuous Improvement – Define and enforce coding, testing, and security standards (e.g. OWASP), conduct code reviews, maintain documentation, drive test coverage, and continuously improve processes by breaking down complex tasks, proposing enhancements, and automating repetitive workflows for efficient, high-quality delivery.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship – Lead technical design for epics and projects with a focus on API-first and OOP-compliant architectures, ensure alignment through code reviews, mentor developers to promote upskilling and a test-driven, design-first culture, and proactively identify interdependencies to deliver scalable, well-integrated solutions.
  • Agile Collaboration & Communication – Actively participate in Agile ceremonies to promote team alignment, provide constructive input, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and share insights with the CoE lead while constructively challenging ideas when needed.
  • Governance & Compliance – Adhere to company policies on Health & Safety, Information Security, and Quality, make responsible decisions that support business goals, and continuously drive improvements to enhance responsiveness to customer and internal needs.
