Senior Power BI Developer – Data Visualization

Job Description

Responsibilities : – Design, develop, and deploy complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. – Architect and implement scalable Power BI solutions, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity. – Develop and maintain data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations. – Implement best practices for Power BI development and data visualization. – Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses. – Develop and maintain data warehouses and data marts. – Optimize data warehouse performance and ensure data quality. – Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. – Develop and maintain interactive reports and dashboards for various business stakeholders. – Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making. – Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Power BI development team. – Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing. – Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. – Contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection. – Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, data engineers, and other developers. – Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences. – Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies. – Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices. – Identify and implement process improvements. – Contribute to the development of reusable components and : – Experience: 6-8 years of professional experience in Power BI development and data warehousing. – Deep expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Embedded. – Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. – Experience with advanced visualization techniques. – Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. – Experience with SQL and relational databases. – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. – Ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions. – Excellent written and verbal communication skills. – Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related Qualifications : – Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). – Experience with data integration tools (Azure Data Factory, SSIS). – Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis. – Experience with data governance and security best practices. – Microsoft Power BI certifications (ref:hirist.tech)
