We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) + Technical Instructor Web Development to join our Computer Science Department. This academic-focused role requires a strong web development background and teaching and mentoring students in core computer science subjects.

This is a full-time Academic role.

Key Responsibilities :

– Course Development & Delivery : Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Frontend Topics like Javascript, React.js, Typescript, etc.

– Lab Management : Conduct and manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-on coding experience.

– Cross-functional collaboration : Work closely with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum.

– Academic Excellence & Student Success : Mentor students, assist with project work, and ensure academic growth.

– Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation.

– Research & Innovation : Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge research and industry & Experience :

Must-Have :

– Prior experience as a Software Developer with a focus on front-end development.

– Proficiency in JS, CSS, React.JS, and Angular (must be comfortable picking up new languages quickly).

– Solid understanding of Frontend Development concepts, including experience with User interface, performance optimization, and modern frameworks.

– Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to students.

– Adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics.

Good-to-Have :

– Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.

– Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and academic tools.

– Experience in software development and system design.
